The Pig Iron filter thread repair tool v2 is used for straightening damaged or dented lens filter threads.

The tool gradually expands to push out dents and damaged areas of the filter thread.

Durable plastic jaw covers are also included for use when dealing with particularly delicate threads such as those made from polycarbonate on some budget lenses.

NOTE: This tool cannot be used to re-cut filter threads, it is for reforming and straightening the overall circular shape of the threaded area.
